GozoSeasons helps people decide what to do today by reading the island through wind, heat, sea exposure, shade, walking comfort, seasonal rhythm and local context.
What GozoSeasons is
GozoSeasons is a practical local recommendation system for Gozo. It suggests walks, swimming spots, viewpoints and seasonal activities according to the conditions of the day.
Most travel guides describe places as if they are fixed. GozoSeasons treats them as changing. A bay can be perfect on one wind and uncomfortable on another. A cliff walk can be beautiful in calm weather and wrong in strong wind. A village route can be better than a famous viewpoint on a hot afternoon.
The site is built to help visitors and residents make better daily choices: where to walk, where to swim, when to stay sheltered, and when to choose a slower route.
Why it exists
Gozo is small, but daily conditions matter. Wind direction, sun, humidity, rain, shade, road comfort, slope, sea exposure, public transport and season can completely change whether a place feels good today.

How it works
GozoSeasons combines weather and seasonal signals with a curated local catalogue of walking areas, swim places, viewpoints, village routes, safety notes and public suggestions.
- 1 Read the day’s conditions The system checks weather signals such as wind, heat, rain, cloud, humidity and comfort.
- 2 Compare places against the conditions Walks and swimming spots are scored against exposure, shelter, difficulty, surface, season and suitability.
- 3 Recommend useful options The public site shows suggestions that make sense for the day, while avoiding unnecessary repetition when better options are available.
- 4 Keep human judgement in the loop AI assists with coding, structure and organisation, but the editorial logic and public recommendations are designed and maintained by Tiny Island Studio.
Walks and swim notes are handled carefully
Some suggestions are precise routes. Others are shaped local ideas that point towards a bay, village, valley, harbour area or viewpoint. GozoSeasons avoids pretending that every suggestion is a finished mapped route when it still needs checking.
A mapping engine can draw a line, but it does not always know whether the road is pleasant, whether the surface is comfortable, whether a path is restricted, whether it becomes muddy after rain, or whether the route is actually worth recommending on a particular day.
The aim is to be useful without overstating certainty.

GozoSeasons is an independent guide. It is not an official tourism authority, transport provider, lifeguard service, marine forecast service or emergency system.
Weather and sea conditions can change quickly. Paths can become closed, unsafe, wet, overgrown or unsuitable. Users should always check the conditions around them, follow official advice where relevant, and use personal judgement.
Use GozoSeasons as a daily starting point, not as a guarantee. The goal is to help people choose more gently, notice more, and move through the island with care.
